KENYA
Handmade. Upcycled. Ethically Produced.
This is where it all started. Good Behavior’s love story.
Like all good stories, ours began with love. More specifically, with a weathered sailcloth bag emblazoned with a red heart. Struck by the feeling that this bag had traveled the globe to find us, we embarked upon a voyage of our own, retracing the bag’s itinerary to a tiny fishing village in Kenya called Lamu.
It turned out that our bag was one-of-a-kind and made by a collective of artisans from the sails of retired fishing boats. Standing as an emblem of heritage, pride and income, every bag was a passionate continuation of Lamu’s maritime traditions.
What we found was more than a meeting of worlds: it was a meeting of hearts. This was where we wanted to be. Working in close collaboration with the villagers, we’re proud to be acting as stewards for the work of Lamu’s artisans and fishermen.
INDIA
Our rugs are 100% handmade in the city of Jaipur which is known for its highly skilled weavers who still work on traditional looms to produce one-of-a-kind rugs made from pure wool and art silk. These quality rugs are famous for a high density of knotting making them durable as well as beautiful.
We kept it simple with just one rug size—of which is proportionally designed to complement most popular furniture. Our rugs are globally inspired and made in small batches with words that offer hope, and provoke feelings of empowerment.
These handcrafted rugs are created by a community of artisans who care deeply about their finished products and now you can share their passion when you add these unique rugs to your space.
MEXICO
Our adventure blankets are 100% handmade by master craftsmen, weavers, shredders, spinners of Oaxaca, Mexico. We work with some of the finest weavers of handwoven blankets anywhere who are passionate about their craft, so every blanket continues to be handwoven on a traditional wooden pedal loom continuing a long tradition of craftsmanship and creativity.
Our blankets are made from excess clothing materials that otherwise would end up in the landfill. The clothing is shredded into a pulp and is upcycled into yarn. By repurposing high-quality materials, they’re able create a stunning blanket while minimizing environmental impact and waste for our planet.
Being handmade, you will love how each blanket is one-of-a -kind, complete with its subtle imperfections and variations. You will find yourself taking them on your many adventures yet to come.
